The groups for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh are out, and team India have been handed a tough draw, placed in the same group as fourth-ranked New Zealand, arch-rivals Pakistan and defending champions Australia. The ten teams in the competition have been split into groups of two. Alongside New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan, India, who have been drawn in Group A, will also be playing a qualifier.
Group B, meanwhile, consists of 2023 WT20 finalists South Africa, England, West Indies, hosts Bangladesh and a qualifier.
The 10-team competition, which will begin on October 3, 2024, will be played across just two venues — Dhaka and Sylhet. England and South Africa will kick-start the tournament on October 3 in Dhaka. India, meanwhile, will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 4 in Sylhet. The marquee clash against Pakistan will be played at the same venue, two days later, on October 6.
The final will be played on October 20 in Dhaka.
