Jos Buttler says that it was a great game, it was a wonderful atmosphere. Adds that there are lots of rivalries in each city and now they would look to take revenge in Manchester. States that some players pulled out but the young guys have got an opportunity to shine. Tells that this format is quicker and they need to be really quick to make the decisions. States that it is great to see so many young guys watching from the stands.
Sam Billings, the MAN OF THE MATCH, says it was a really good atmosphere and one of the best grounds to play, he is pleased to win the first game. Adds the support is excellent and the Surrey lads closed the game really well towards the end. Reckons the wicket was slow and there was turn and that played a huge part, it is a used pitch and it played how they expected it to. Adds he felt they were around par on a slow wicket and says having Narine in the team is a plus point.
It was an excellent bowling performance by Oval Invincibles! They did not have much to defend but they came out all guns blazing. Sam Curran started it all, picking up Salt in the first over and then the others joined the party. Reece Topley bowled beautifully while the spinners especially, Sunil Narine were simply brilliant. Tom Curran was brilliant at the death and Sam Curran finished it off well for them. Overall, it was a very good performance. Stay tuned for the Presentation ceremony!
Manchester Originals were off to a poor start, losing two very quickly and then they were always on the back foot. Philip Salt fell in the first over. Joe Clarke looked good for a while before he threw it away and even Jos Buttler struggled to get going. Munro played well till he was out there but he need to continue. Carlos Brathwaite hit some lovely shots but when he needed to step up, he got dismissed and they ended up short.
Excellent performance from Oval Invincibles! Not many would have given them a chance but they have bounced back with the ball and brilliantly. They will be very pleased with the effort and have opened their account with a fine win. Manchester Originals, on the other hand, would be disappointed. They would have backed themselves to chase this down but it was not to be.

Sam Curran to Fred Klaassen ,Just the one from the Free Hit which means two legal deliveries and Oval can't lose! On middle, Klaassen swings, he gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls on the off side for one.

Sam Curran to Fred Klaassen ,NO BALL! Well, this probably won't harm Oval but that is a bad delivery. He looks to bowl a slower one but ends up bowling it so far down the leg side. It lands outside the pitch and it is given as a no ball.

Sam Curran to Carlos Brathwaite ,OUT! TAKEN! That is probably the game! Brathwaite looks towards the heavens! He knew, he just knew it was there to be hit. This was in the slot, full and on middle, Brathwaite looks to clear long on but it goes right off the bottom. Roy takes a simple catch there. The crowd here is going bonkers.
Who will bowl the final five balls? Sam Curran it will be. Can he defend 19?
