IND vs AUS Test 2nd Test, Australia tour of India, 2000/01 - Commentary

Right then! That's all from this game! Welsh Fire have now won two games in a row and they are catching momentum at the right time. Oval Invincibles Women need to get their campaign back on track before it is too late. There is another match coming as Oval Invincibles Men take on Welsh Fire Men. That match will begin at 1830 local (1730 GMT). Do join us for that. Cheers and take care.

Sophie Luff, the Welsh Fire skipper, says that they felt that they were a few runs short but they were amazing in the field. States that Katie George is a brilliant athlete and she is contributing a lot in the field. Adds that they have got some momentum now.

Sarah Taylor is the HERO OF THE MATCH, says that the runout was lucky as she had missed it at first. Adds that their total was below-par but their bowling and fielding did the work. Says that she is loving The Hundred and she has the perfect team to do that.

Oval Invincibles will be disappointed with their effort. They have squandered a run chase of a modest score twice in a row now. They have now lost two games in a row and that is a disappointing thing. No one from their batting looked settled at the crease. Alice Capsey was looking good before she was dismissed while Fran Wilson got set and then got dismissed. There was nothing from Dane Van Niekerk. Jo Gardner gave them some hope towards the end but it was too late as they kept on losing wickets and they have fallen short.

Welsh Fire Women were fired up in their defense as they came out with a mission which was to defend 112 at any cost. Everyone did a brilliant job with the ball with Nicole Harvey being the pick of the bowlers. Hayley Matthews was good as well with three wickets while the others kept things really tight and did not give anything away to the Oval Invincibles. They used the slowness of the wicket perfectly and they reaped the rewards.

What a brilliant bowling performance from Welsh Fire Women! Not many would have given them a chance to defend 112 but they have done it quite easily. It was a complete bowling performance and they will be very pleased with the effort. Oval Invincibles, on the other hand, now have failed to chase down a modest total twice and that is a worry.
