Talking about her catch to dismiss Amy Jones, Tash replies that it just happened and she is really proud. Praises Capsey and Kapp for their partnership as that was a vital one. It was a collapse of epic proportions for Birmingham Phoenix Women! They lost two quick wickets at the start of the chase but the stand between Amy Jones and Erin Burns kept the chase on track. Their 52-run alliance pushed the Invincibles to the brink of elimination. Oval Invincibles Women decided to take a strategic break when 57 runs were needed off 55 balls. That break did wonders to them. Soon, Burns and Amy departed, that too off consecutive deliveries, and the chase fell flat on its face for the Phoenix. From 66/2 and in a position of dominance, they slipped and got all out for 94. Massive credit to Marizanne Kapp and Tash Farrant for the way they bowled. Brilliant. Earlier, Kapp was involved in a crucial stand as well with Alice Capsey that helped Oval to a fighting total.
Wow, what a thrilling game, worthy of an Eliminator! Tash Farrant was an absolute star!!! Four wickets in the match for her and who can forget her stunning catch to remove the danger of Amy Jones. Oval Invincibles Women bowled and fielded like champions and deserved to win this match.
