Flighted delivery on off, Afif had to go for it as the required run rate has been creeping up. Afif goes for a big slog sweep across the line. He does not time it as it goes off the upper half of his bat. It goes towards short fine leg. Dushmantha Chameera is having a field day, be it with the ball or on the field. Flighted on middle, Mosaddek Hossain gets low and looks to reverse sweep this one but only manages a top edge. Dushmantha Chameera to Tamim Iqbal, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Chameera strikes again and Sri Lanka snare another wicket. The Bangladeshi skipper, who has played well in this series, has been sent packing and Chameera is all over the batters here, as he gets his third wicket of the game. A slower and fuller ball outside off, Iqbal looks to push the ball to the off side, but only manages a thin outside edge, which is gobbled up nicely by Dickwella. An appeal and up goes the finger of the umpire. Iqbal does not hesitate in taking the review on this occasion. Ultra Edge rolls in and there is a thin spike as the ball goes past the bat and hence, the on-field decision stays on. The hosts in some trouble now. 259 needed from 243 balls.

Shortish and around off, slightly on the quicker side too, Shakib Al Hasan looks to pull but does not do so cleanly. Dushmantha Chameera to Mohammad Naim, OUT! TAKEN! Chameera strikes on his first ball and the opening stand of Bangladesh has been torn apart very early on, in the run chase. Naim, who is playing in only his second ODI, makes no impact with the blade for the Tigers. A length ball, outside off, angling away from the left-hander here. Naim looks to go fishing and swings his blade, away from his body here, but only manages a thick outside edge this time. Kusal Mendis takes the catch at first slip.
