Lauren Winfield, the captain of Northern Superchargers Women, says Jemimah Rodrigues is doing phenomenal for the team and adds that Jemimah also seems to be comfortable with the group. Goes onto say that they did things as they planned with the bat. Adds that this tournament has spiced things up and everyone is talking about the Hundred. Shares that she held her breath when she saw Rodrigues getting rapped on the pads early on in the innings (FYI, she was lbw but that was neither given nor referred by the Rockets). Tells that the captaincy is going great and she aims to take one game at a time and move forward gradually.
The Hero of the Match is Jemimah Rodrigues! She starts by saying that when you are timing the ball well, you should make the most of it and she has learnt that while sitting out. Adds that she just wants to extend this form. Goes onto say she just planned it to keep it simple and it worked. Adds that she started pretty slowly and then planned to build on it. Shares that her teammates are like a family and she has a good bond with all of them. Tells that back home in Mumbai, she used to play on slow wickets and maybe that helped her here.
You can call it an excellent all-round show from Northern Superchargers Women. Their openers were slow to get off the blocks but after that, there was a period when it was raining boundaries. Jemimah Rodrigues was once again the star for them. Towards the end, it was not a flying finish but still, the Superchargers got more than a handy total on the board. Their bowling was not great but the good thing was that they bowled according to the field that was set. Also, many loose deliveries went unpunished and it's one area the Superchargers would like to improve on.
Trent Rockets Women were chasing a tricky target of 150! It was a decent Powerplay for them despite losing two wickets. At that moment, 109 runs were needed off 75 balls and the Rockets had the English stars, Brunt and Sciver, in the middle. That pair stayed together for a bit but didn't go hammer and tongs. Natalie Sciver eventually fell and the equation at that time was - 77 needed off 47 balls. Trent Rockets Women needed Katherine Brunt to take the charge from there on but she was not at her usual best. Brunt struggled for timing and placement and eventually ended up remaining unbeaten with an abysmal strike rate of 119.4.
A convincing win for Northern Superchargers Women! It was a well-planned batting innings from them and their bowlers did just well to defend the total. The captaincy from Lauren Winfield was excellent as she dictated terms from behind the stumps. Her bowling changes were superb and her bowlers stuck to the game plans. All in all, the Superchargers will be charged up after winning their first two games of the season.

Katie Levick to Kathryn Bryce ,OUT! CAUGHT! The pressure does get to Kathryn Bryce. She was looking to go on the leg side but it was a right choice of the shot. Tossed up, full and on off. Kathryn Bryce looks to sweep it. The ball though takes the outside edge and goes towards cover. The fielder there gets under it and takes an easy catch.
