Mohammad Rizwan, the Multan Sultans skipper, says that the momentum has been going well for them as they won back to back. He states that there are still few areas for improvement but is happy with the performance. He mentions that even if the innings would have gone deeper, they would have matched the required run rate and finish it off but they performed very well and is relieved to finish it sooner
Shahnawaz Dhani is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH, he says that his first over was bad but he wasn't too bothered as he knew that such is the nature of T20 format. Adds that he had confidence in himself and his skipper also believed in him. Finished by saying that he dedicates this award to his friend, Carlos Brathwaite.
Wahab Riaz, the Peshawar Zalmi skipper, says that they didn't execute their plans well and they could have done better. He adds that the score was above par but they were 10-15 runs short and that they could have done better. He mentions that if they would have bowled at good line and lengths, the outcome could have been different. Further states that it was a bad day at the office and will look to come back stronger
... The Presentation Ceremony ...
Earlier in the game, Shahnawaz Dhani struck with four big wickets to peg back the Peshawar Zalmi onslaught after Kamran Akmal and Haider Ali started in style. But towards the end, Sherfane Rutherford played a really good innings to give his team a respectable total. But that wasn't enough as Multan Sultans chased it down with ease.
Peshawar Zalmi bowlers had a night to forget. Absolutely nothing went right for them. Mohammad Irfan took the wicket at the start but after that, they had no answers to the batting of Mohammad Rizwan and Sohaib Maqsood. The lack of a proper spinner in their squad hurt them really bad as Fabian Allen was hit to all parts of the ground by Sohaib Maqsood. Dew also proved to be an issue for them but they bowled a lot of poor deliveries and gave many free runs.
It was an absolutely brilliant performance by Multan Sultans to chase this down. They started strong with Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood looking to attack the bowlers in the first few overs. But after Shan Masood fell, it was all about Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Rizwan. These two batted and batted and gave absolutely no chances. They rotated the strike really well, ran hard between the wickets, and kept hitting boundaries to make sure that the required run rate never went out of control. Both were equally good and did exactly what was required to chase a score in T20. A masterclass in chasing really.
Mockery! Yes, that is what was made of the chase. It wasn't the smallest of targets but Multan Sultans have made a mockery of it. For Peshawar Zalmi, it was an extremely tough night and they have plenty of thinking to do moving forward.

Muhammad Imran to Sohaib Maqsood ,OUT! CAUGHT! Sohaib Maqsood departs but he has done the damage already. Touch short on middle, Sohaib Maqsood looks to pull this one as well. The ball went miles up in the air. He didn't get the required distance and Umaid Asif grabs it at deep backward square. An excellent innings comes to end. A wicket for Muhammad Imran but has come too late.
