Holy smoly, Mumbai Indians have etched themselves in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, with 17 sixes in their IPL 2025 Eliminator clash against Gujarat Titans, on May 30 (Friday). The five-time IPL champions have made a mess out of GT’s bowling unit, smashing 228/5, the highest score at the venue in Mullanpur.

However, it isn’t the highest-ever score in the playoffs, with Gujarat owning that record (233/3 vs MI in 2023). After winning the toss, MI made the most of the surface, with their former skipper Rohit Sharma smashing a 50-ball 81, with nine fours and four sixes.
