2 Cans In One Hand, Kookaburra In Other: Stunning Crowd Catch Lights Up AUS-SA Clash In Darwin

Apart from Tim David’s brilliant hitting, it was this man’s heroic effort that sent the crowd in delirium

The first T20 international between Australia and South Africa at Darwin on August 10 (Saturday) might be short on intent from the Proteas batter, but one thing that it was not short on was entertainment.

After a stunning six-hitting display from Tim David and a sensational four-wicket haul by Kwena Maphaka left the people at the Marrara Oval Stadium in Darwin, the people were also witness to a stunning catch from Big Show Glenn Maxwell.

However, more than all of this, it was a crowd catch that got the commentators to announce it as the best catch of the match.

It was the catch by a man who was already holding two cans of beverage in his right hand and standing near the boundary ropes. After David smashed another six, it was this man at the deep mid-wicket boundary with his empty left hand that managed to grab a stunner, leaving everybody in awe with his brilliance.

As replays showed, he was able to hold on to the catch without letting go of the cans in his other hand, prompting the commentators to say, “Two cans in one hand and the Kookaburra in the other.”

As for the match, Australia, even after getting bowled out for 178, beat South Africa by 17 runs.
