3 Explosive Batters CSK Can Target From Saurashtra Pro T20 League 2025

We could very well see these players in CSK colours next season

The Saurashtra Pro T20 League 2025 comes to an end today, and the five-team competition, over the course of two weeks, has seen a plethora of exceptional performances and close matches.

We’ve seen how, over the past few years, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have used state T20 leagues to scout players, and IPL 2026 will be no different. It goes without saying that all IPL teams would have followed the Saurashtra Pro T20 League 2025 closely, and one team that would particularly be interested in signing explosive batters is Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

We look at three such explosive batters from the Saurashtra Pro T20 League 2025 who CSK might go after at the IPL 2026 auction.

Jay Gohil - Zalawad Strikers Team

25-year-old Jay Gohil dominated the 2025 edition of the Saurashtra Pro T20 League, finishing as the highest run-getter in the competition, with 338 runs to his name. But it will be the strike rate column that will excite CSK and other franchises, with it reading 164.9.

Gohil batted at No.3 for Zalawad Strikers Team and dominated the bowlers, hitting 23 sixes overall - the joint-most by any batter in the season.

Gohil was also the only centurion in the season, in the clash against Aryan Sorath Lions, against whom he hit 101 off 58 balls.

He could prove to be a useful base price pick.

Luckyraj Vaghela - Dita Gohilwad Titans

Don’t be surprised if 23-year-old Luckyraj Vaghela turns out to be one of the most sought-after uncapped players at the IPL 2026 auction.

Vaghela played as a finisher for Dita Gohilwad Titans and hammered 164 runs at a strike rate of 210.3. Here’s a stat that shows just how outrageously dominant he’s been: the person with the second-best strike rate is Gohil, who has struck at 164.90.

Vaghela smashed 16 sixes in the tournament, striking a six every 4.9 balls. His best knock of the season came against Anmol Kings Halar, against whom he smoked 33 off just 10 balls.

We’ve already seen uncapped finishers have a huge impact in the IPL. Don’t be surprised if CSK end up going hard for Vaghela.

Parswaraj Rana - Anmol Kings Halar

Top-order batter? Check. Finisher? Check. Middle-order batter?

Well, to fill that void, we have Parswaraj Rana of Anmol Kings Halar. Someone who predominantly bats at No.4 and No.5, Rana has so far been the fifth-highest run-getter in the 2025 Saurashtra Pro T20 League. He’s not a big six-hitter, but Rana is someone who hits sixes frequently, but he still collects plenty of boundaries, finding the rope once every 4.7 balls.

He has excellent overall numbers, averaging 49 while striking at nearly 160.0. His strike rate of 159.1 is, in fact, the third-best among all players in the tournament with 100 or more runs.

He could very well be on the radar of CSK and other IPL teams.
