England players have become the go-to overseas talent for IPL franchises in recent years. Jos Buttler, Phil Salt, and Jofra Archer have all found massive success in the biggest cricket competition coming from England.
The Hundred 2025 put a spotlight on a number of quality England talent. These players made sure to grab the chances and make a name for themselves. Some of these players can be expected to get a call from the IPL teams for the 2026 edition of the IPL.
Here are three new England players who can be signed by IPL teams in the 2026 Auction:
9 inns, 367 runs, 61.17 average, 174 SR, 3 fifties
Jordan Cox had a breakout season at the Hundred as he was a major reason behind Oval Invincibles winning their third straight championship.
Batting at #3, he provided stability and scored with aggression, keeping the Invincibles' scoring rate up. His six-hitting was at its best as the 24-year-old smashed 22 maximums, the most for a batter in the season.
He thrashed the pacer, smashing 44 of his 52 boundaries against them at 197 SR. He can be a good addition for teams like Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders who are in need of an aggressive top-order batter.
6 innings, 19.1 overs, 14 wickets, 8.1 economy, 8.2 bowl SR
Josh Tongue is currently the man with the golden arm in English Cricket. The 27-year-old pacer took wickets for fun in the recently concluded India tour of England Test series.
He translated that form into the shortest format, picking up the most wickets in the season, playing almost half the games compared to others.
Playing for the Manchester Originals, he was excellent across the phases as he consistently picked wickets, maintaining a healthy economy. He mixed up his deliveries with the likes of off cutters, bouncers, back of hand, etc.
With his unorthodox action and erratic rhythm, he can be an ‘X-Factor’ bowler when given an opportunity in the IPL.
Batting: 9 innings, 189 runs, 127 SR, 21 fours, 7 sixes
Bowling: 10 innings, 25 overs, 12 wickets, 7.6 economy, 12.5 bowl SR
Rehan Ahmed has been a revelation in the England County circuit in 2025. The 21-year-old who started as a leg spinner has transitioned into an all-rounder in first-class cricket.
We saw glimpses of that in the Hundred as he played a couple of quick cameos for the Trent Rockets. His bowling was fantastic as he picked up 12 wickets and finished the season as the second-highest wicket-taker. Sharing the ball with Afghan legend Rashid Khan, Rehan managed the keep the batters quiet in the middle phase.
With high potential as an all-rounder, an opportunity in the biggest cricket competition will boost his confidence in becoming a complete player.
