Phil Salt is currently one of the most destructive T20 batters in the world. The Wicket-keeping opening batter has had a terrific run in the T20Is since his debut in 2022. His terrific form has resulted in him currently being placed at #2 position in ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings.
With the IPL success he has had so far playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), along with his excellent records in five-match T20I series, where he holds the record for the most runs in a T20I series (331 runs vs West Indies, 2023), Salt will have a huge spotlight on him coming into this series.
Liam Livingstone is England’s premium all-rounder in T20Is. He has had some valuable experience playing in Indian conditions as he has been one of the biggest signings in IPL over the last three seasons.
In IPL, he has scored 897 runs in 34 innings, striking at 167 with six fifties. He also has the added skill of bowling off spin and leg spin which will be crucial in the middle overs against India in the upcoming series.
Jacob Bethell is the young English sensation who has garnered huge attention after signing with the RCB franchise for IPL 2025. The 21-year-old left-handed batting all-rounder will have his first big test in adapting to Indian conditions, and his performance in this five-match T20Is will help him get ready for the IPL.
Bethell's major focus during this series will be his batting against Indian spinners. He will be facing quality spin from Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakaravarthy. He has been striking spinners at 151 in T20s since 2024.
