The Indian domestic T20 Leagues, organised by the state cricket associations, have continued to deliver quality players with almost every league highlighting fresh new talent who have managed to grab the spotlight and turn it into limelight. With excellent performances, these players have certainly fast-tracked themselves to a possible IPL 2026 contract as talent scouts from all ten IPL franchises will be keeping a close eye on these players.
Looking across the various T20 leagues, there are a few notable bowlers who are quality slog over bowlers who have found a way to take wickets in the toughest phase of the final five overs in their respective leagues. Here is a look at their performances.
Ankur Panwar had a terrific 2025 season at the Saurashtra Premier League (SPL) as the right-arm pacer representing Zalawad Strikers ended the season as a lethal wicket-taker with 13 wickets. Of those wickets, nine were in the slog overs between overs 16-20 at an outstanding bowling SR of 5.3, maintaining a good economy rate of 6.6.
The 26-year-old was successful in mixing up the lengths as five wickets were taken by bowling full-length yorkers and a couple of wickets through short ball bouncers, and it will certainly get him more attention as IPL 2026 Auction comes by.
Mangesh Yadav was the most successful bowler coming out of the 2025 edition of the Madhya Pradesh T20 League as the left-arm pacer managed to take 14 wickets in six games.
He found the most success being the slog over specialist as he managed to take eight wickets in this phase despite bowling just eight overs. The left-armer managed to nail his yorkers as he has taken a few wickets by shattering the stumps. He also has managed to mix up well between pace off and pace on deliveries.
Nuruddin Mondal was instrumental in taking his team, Howrah Warriors, to the Finals as the 21-year-old right-arm pacer has managed to be the second highest wicket taker of the Bengal Pro T20 2025 season with 18 wickets.
The youngster has found success in all three phases, with four, six and eight wickets in powerplay, middle over and slog overs. Like the other two, his ability to bowl fuller lengths and nail yorkers at a consistent rate helped him get the wickets with ease. With teams struggling to find death-over bowlers, these three could be the hidden gems for IPL 2026.
