The Indian Premier League (IPL) has thrown up quite a few talented Indian players who have gone on to become legends. Be it Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya or even current T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, they have flourished in the IPL and gone on to flourish for India as well.
Let's take a look at a few players who could end up as IPL legends.
At just 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has not just made his IPL bow, but etched his name in the record books, scoring a ton against the Gujarat Titans (GT) off just 35 balls - the fastest Indian batter to get to the landmark. Having made such a bright start, and with plenty of years ahead of him, back Suryavanshi to break all IPL records by the time he is done.
24-year-old Priyansh Arya was bought for INR 3.8 crore by Punjab Kings (PBKS), and the southpaw didn't disappoint as he went on to have a memorable debut season. He played every match in PBKS' run to the final, showing how much the management trusted him. He scored 475 runs at a strike rate of close to 180, including two fifties and a ton. The future is certainly bright for the Delhi batter.
It's still early days for 18-year-old Ayush Mhatre, but he has certainly started his IPL career well. In 2025, he became CSK's youngest ever player and he celebrated that by smashing 32 off just 15 against the Mumbai Indians on debut. He turned it up agianst Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), hitting 94 off just 48 deliveries, which was surely the highlight of his young career so far. A longer run and Mhatre could seriously flourish for any team in the IPL.
