25-year-old Digvesh Rathi was one of the finds of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). He took 14 wickets at an economy of 8.25 for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), but the youngster made heads turn not just with his bowling but also through his attitude and charisma, often bringing the heat to the field.
On the back of such a stellar IPL 2025, then, a lot was expected from Digvesh in the 2025 Delhi Premier League (DPL).
However, the competition has so far proven to be one to forget for the 25-year-old, who is yet to open his account in the tournament after four matches.
As it stands, Digvesh has sent down 10 overs for his side, South Delhi Superstarz, and has taken no wickets while conceding 100 runs. It’s the economy column that’s been a big concern, with the wrist-spinner going at 10 runs per over.
Before the clash against New Delhi Tigers (NDT) today, Digvesh had not bowled his full quota of 4 overs even once. The 25-year-old completed his quota of 4 overs for the first time today in DPL 2025, but still was unable to create much of an impact, finishing with figures of 0/33.
His false start has unquestionably contributed to South Delhi beginning the season with three consecutive losses.
