Extraordinary scenes unfolded at the Harare Sports Club in Harare today as Zimbabwe bowled Sri Lanka out for 80, their second-lowest score in T20Is, in the second match of the ongoing three-match T20I series.
Sri Lanka entered the game with a 1-0 lead in their bag, and the visitors were asked to bat first by Zimbabwe after winning the toss. It took only seven balls for the home team to strike as Blessing Muzarabani removed the dangerous Kusal Mendis.
That early breakthrough proved to be the sign of things to come as inside seven overs, Sri Lanka were reduced to 38/5. A 26-run sixth-wicket stand between Kamil Mishara and Dasun Shanaka temporarily provided some respite, but, in the end, that proved to be the calm before the storm. The Lankans lost their last five wickets for just 16 to get bowled for 80, their second-lowest score in T20I history.

Mishara was the only Lankan batter to cross the 20-run mark. For Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza (3/11), Brad Evans (3/15) and Muzarabani (2/14) were the destroyers-in-chief.
