NEWSPakistan Super League (PSL) was supposed to resume on June 1 in Lahore and Karachi, but the third wave of Coronavirus across the country has resulted in the tournament being pushed back by a few days. Amid talks that PCB are planning to host the tournament in the UAE, ESPN Cricinfo reported that Abu Dhabi offered to host the tournament if all involved in the league vaccinated against the virus.
In the wake of the offer, PCB called for an all-franchise meeting today during which a final call will be taken.
Originally, teams were informed to start their preparations and join the bubble by May 19, today, but PCB instructed all franchises to hold off that plan. Thus it is unlikely that it will start on June but PCB are determined to finish off the 20 remaining matches soon.
The meeting will chart out the plans for the future and how the tournament will go on despite various travel restrictions. Wasim Khan, PCB's CEO, will preside over the meeting.
