After having a great Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he was adjudged Emerging Player of the tournament for his impressive batting, Sai Sudharsan was drafted into the Indian Test set-up for the England tour.
However, the southpaw, in the three matches that he played on the tour, was unable to make a mark, scoring a lone fifty while batting at number three in all those games.
But more surprising was the fact that Sudharsan was not named in the South Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy 2025, which will mark the beginning of the Indian domestic season. But if that was not enough, the Tamil Nadu batter was also not named in any of the two squads announced by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) for the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament.
The tournament, which is set to begin on August 18, works as a curtain-raiser for the domestic season, with various state teams participating in it. Two teams- TNCA XI and TNCA President’s XI-were announced by TNCA on August 8 and Sudharsan did not find mention in either of the two.
Here are the two teams announced by TNCA.
