The 27-year-old South African all-rounder Aiden Markram has been ruled out of the last two T20Is against India. The right-hander was ruled out of the first three T20Is after testing positive for COVID-19. Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed that the all-rounder will continue to be unavailable for the rest of the series.

“The Proteas batsman spent 7 days in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 last week and will not be able to complete his return to play program in time for the last 2 matches,” read a statement from Cricket South Africa.
On the other hand, Quinton de Kock, who didn’t feature in the last two T20Is, will be assessed as the fourth T20I nears.
“Wicket-keeper batsman, Quinton de Kock, has made a marked improvement in his recovery from a wrist injury. The Proteas’ medical staff will continue to assess his progress and make a decision on his availability for match four in due course.”
After going 0-2 in the series, India made a sharp comeback in the third T20I, beating the Proteas by 48 runs.
