All Over For MS Dhoni, He Should Accept This: Former CSK Teammate

Dhoni has had very little impact with the bat in IPL 2025 so far

MS Dhoni has been the talk of the town in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season. The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has not contributed with the bat this season and has also batted way down the order, not making any impact whatsoever.

Even on Saturday, April 5 (Saturday), Dhoni came out to bat at seven against Delhi Capitals (DC) with his team in trouble. He never got going, finishing with 30* off 26 deliveries, as CSK succumbed to their third loss of the season.

Former CSK opener Matthew Hayden, who played alongside Dhoni between 2008 and 2018, feels that Dhoni's playing days are behind him, and he should accept this before it's too late. “[MS] Dhoni should join us in our commentary box after this game. He has lost the cricket," Hayden said on commentary.

"It's over for him. He should accept this fact until it's too late for CSK."

CSK are currently ninth in the IPL 2025 table with just two points from four matches. They will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mullanpur on April 8 (Tuesday).
