South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been punished and handed one demerit point for sending off Ben Dwarshuis in the second T20I on August 12 (Tuesday). The all-rounder, who didn’t have much of an impact with the bat, put on a stellar show with the ball, with figures of 3/20.
However, during that spell, the all-rounder was seen sending off Australian bowler Dwarshuis back to the dressing room. It was the first offence for the Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder, who will just get one demerit point.
According to Article 2.5 of ICC’s Code of Conduct, Bosch was caught "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an international match".
Bosch helped South Africa level the series 1-1, with a massive 53-run win. It snapped Australia’s nine-match winning streak in the shortest format. The final of the three T20Is will be played on August 16 (Saturday).
