Australia have confirmed their schedule for a two-match Test series and a one-off ODI in Sri Lanka next year. The Test series, which is part of the World Test Championship, will commence on January 29, while the one-off ODI will be played on February 13.
The two Tests (January 29 - February 2 and February 6 -10) will be played in Galle, while the venue for the ODI is yet to be confirmed. The 50-over game will be played less than a week before the Champions Trophy, which is set to start on February 19.
The last time Australia played a Test series in Sri Lanka, the series ended in a 1-1 draw. The series will be important to both teams’ hopes of qualifying for the WTC final.
Australia are currently second on the points table and are set to take on India in a five-match series at Home. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are placed at No.3 and are scheduled to play two Tests in South Africa before the Australia series.
