India vs Australia in Dubai on March 4 (Tuesday) and South Africa vs New Zealand in Lahore on March 5 (Wednesday) - the schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semis has been confirmed after Rohit Sharma and Co. defeated the Black Caps by 44 runs in the final group match of the 50-over event in Dubai on March 2 (Sunday).
Both India and New Zealand had already qualified for the semi-finals. India were scheduled to play their semi-final in Dubai, while New Zealand were set to travel to Lahore, but their opponents were yet to be confirmed.
As a result, both Australia and South Africa (from Group B) had travelled to Dubai for practice, but the latter will now head back to Lahore along with New Zealand.
India defeated Bangladesh and Pakistan in their first two fixtures and have now ended the group stage with another win, taking them to the top of the Group A points table. The Men in Blue will take on Steven Smith and his men, who finished second in Group B.
Meanwhile, New Zealand had already qualified for their semis after their wins against Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Men in Black have finished second in Group A and will come face to face against the Proteas, who finished at the top of the Group B table.
