Australia To Host India For White-Ball Series in October-November 2025

Before the India series, Australia will host South Africa in Darwin and Mackay

Australia will play three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and five T20 Internationals (T20I) starting October 19. India return Down Under for the first time since touring the country for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in 2024-25.

The tour will kick start with the ODI series in Perth (October 19), Adelaide (October 23) and Sydney (October 25). The action will shift to the five-match T20I series in Canberra (October 29), Melbourne (October 31), Hobart (November 2), Gold Coast (November 6) and Brisbane (November 8).

Before India's visit, Australia play three ODIs and as many T20Is against South Africa from August 10 onwards. Darwin and Cairns will host the T20Is, Cairns and Mackay will host the 50-over matches.

After the two incoming white-ball tours, Australia will welcome England for the Ashes, starting with the first Test in Perth on November 21.

"We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we're confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season," Cricket Australia's chief executive Todd Greenberg said.

"We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of all our government, venue, broadcast and commercial partners who ensure Australia's national sport continues to deliver brilliant experiences in stadiums and drive participation across the country."

In a way, the series against South Africa will start Australia's preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka in 2026.

In addition to all the above-mentioned fixtures, Australia will play away T20I series against New Zealand and Pakistan in October and February, respectively.

India Women will also tour Australia early next year, which will consist of T20Is and ODIs and one-off Test, starting February 15. Perth will host the one-off Test between March 6 and 9. The first T20I will begin on February 15 and the white-ball series consisting of three T20Is and as many ODIs will end on March 1.

"The Melbourne Cricket Ground, which hosted the day-night Ashes Test in January-February earlier this year, was not available due to upcoming renovation works," Cricket.com.au reported.

"The WACA Ground is undergoing a redevelopment that will transform it into a 10,000-capacity boutique venue, expected to be completed later this year. Australia last played a women's Test at the WACA Ground in February 2024, when they romped to an innings-and-284-run victory over South Africa," it added.
