In the season before, the former CSK man smashed 321 – the highest score for a Tamil Nadu batter in Ranji Trophy. In the Duleep Trophy 2024, the right-hander couldn’t make that sort of impact with just 88 runs in the entire competition, but has already started the 2025 edition with a bang.
Since the start of 2023, no other wicketkeeper batter has scored more red-ball runs than Jagadeesan (1648), with only Akshay Wadkar (1505) coming close to the Tamil Nadu man.
