Badrinath third player from India Legends to test positive for covid-19

Previously, Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan, who played in the Road Safety World Series had also tested positive

Former India batsman S Badrinath becomes the third player from India Legends to test positive for Covid-19. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan, who were Badrinath's teammates in the Road Safety World Series in Raipur recently also announced on social media that they had tested positive for the virus.

"I have been taking all necessary precautions and have been getting tested regularly, however, I have tested POSITIVE for covid-19 and have some mild symptoms. I will follow all protocols and will be isolating myself at home and will take needful action as per advice from my physician. TC & Stay safe," Badrinath tweeted.

The former Tamil Nadu batsman has played two Tests, seven ODIs and a solitary T20I for India between 2010 and 2011. He also brought an end to his glittering domestic career, finishing with over 10,000 first-class runs at an average in excess of 54, which included as many as 32 tons. 

Badrinath played three matches in the Road Safety World Series for India legends, a team led by Tendulkar, in which he managed 8, 42 not out and in the final against Sri Lanka Legends, he managed just 7.
