Bangladeshi opening batter Saif Hassan has returned to the ODI side for the series against Afghanistan after an impressive show in the Asia Cup in Dubai.
Saif was splendid and Bangladesh's best batter in the tournament, scoring 61 and 69 against Sri Lanka and India in the Super Fours of the competition, which took them close to qualifying for the final. Along with Saif, Nurul has also been called back to the ODI setup after consistent List A performances and a crucial 23 off 13 against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup.
Litton Das is the biggest absentee from the squad, as he is recovering from the side strain he suffered during the Asia Cup, and will also be missing from the T20Is against Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Parvez Hossain Emon has been dropped from the side.
Apart from these, two Bangladeshi players, Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar, are yet to reach the UAE due to visa issues.
The three ODI series begins on October 8, with the second and third games being played on October 11 and 14 in Abu Dhabi.
