Bangladesh vs Australia, 4th T20I: Fantasy Preview

Here are a few tips that might help you in creating your fantasy team for the fourth T20I between Bangladesh and Australia

With a 10-run win in the third T20 International (T20I), Bangladesh have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. Australia have nothing but pride to play for in the remaining two matches, starting with the fourth match of the series on Saturday (August 7).

This is the first-ever bilateral T20I series between the two countries, and Australia have a slender lead when it comes to head-to-head. Before this series, Australia and Bangladesh had clashed in four matches, all coming at the World T20.

Ground details

In the three matches in the series, it has been a healthy competition between pace and spin. While the pacers have picked up a higher percentage of the wickets, the spinners’ economy rate of 5.7 has helped build the pressure up.

The slower deliveries from the fast bowlers have been quite effective, while the batsmen are happy not to give away wickets to the spinners and have looked to play risk-free cricket against them. Hence, it would be advisable to have a little more pacers on your side, given that they have picked up 25 out of the 40 wickets picked up by the bowlers.

Captain

Mitchell Marsh has been in excellent form this series. After scoring a couple of 45s in the first two games, he scored 51 off 47 to give his side a glimmer of hope. Marsh has been a prolific run-getter for Australia in T20Is this year, having scored 427 runs at a strike-rate of 128.2. Only Babar Azam (523) and Mohammad Rizwan (752) have scored more. While he has not picked up a wicket in the series so far, he surely holds a threat in the bowling department as well.

Our Criclytics Player projector predicts Marsh could fetch 20 to 54 points in this match

X-Factors

Fast bowler Shoriful Islam has picked up two wickets in all three matches in the series so far. In fact, he has picked up at least two wickets in each five of his six previous T20Is. The left-arm pacer has picked up 14 wickets for Bangladesh this year, which is the most by a bowler from his country and he will look to continue his good form in this game as Bangladesh look to go one step closer to completing a whitewash.

Adam Zampa picked up the wickets crucial wickets of Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan in the previous game and will look to add a few more in this game as well. He has picked up four wickets from the three matches so far. The Bangladesh batsmen have often looked to play him out, which makes it a challenge for Zampa to get the wickets. He has been successful so far and will back himself to deliver once again. The leg-spinner has been Australia’s most successful bowler in T20Is this year with 12 wickets to his name.

Our Criclytics Player projector predicts Zampa could fetch 30 to 58 points in this match

Afif Hossain has played a few crucial cameos in the series already. The stylish southpaw has scored 23, 37* and 19 in the series so far, which have been crucial given that the contests have been low-scoring affairs. Bangladesh will look to the middle-order batsman to deliver once again.
