BCCI to review India's T20 World Cup performance on January 1

Head coach Rahul Dravid, captain Rohit Sharma and NCA chief VVS Laxman are expected to be part of the meeting

The BCCI is set to conduct a meeting on Sunday (January 1) to review India's performance in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, according to a report by PTI.

Head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma will be part of the meeting with NCA chief VVS Laxman, who was in charge of the dressing room in Dravid's absence, is also expected to join.

India put in a decent performance in the Super 12s stage as they qualified for the semifinals despite losing their group game against South Africa. It was better than their performance in the 2021 edition where they failed to qualify for the final four.

However, they were thrashed by 10 wickets by eventual champions England in the semifinal which led to the sacking of the entire selection panel led by Chetan Sharma.

Ahead of the series against Sri Lanka beginning on January, the BCCI's brass will assemble in Mumbai to review the World Cup performance.

India are without an ICC trophy since winning the Champions Trophy in 2013 under MS Dhoni's captaincy.
