Australian quick Jason Behrendorff was vital in Mumbai Indians’37-run victory over Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday.
The strapping left-arm pacer ran through CSK’s top order dismissing Ambati Rayudu for nought and then scalping Suresh Raina, courtesy a fabulous effort in the field from Kieron Pollard.
Speaking after the game, Behrendorff said: “It was a great experience and had good fun. I was pretty fortunate to be fair with bowling. It was a dry catch, which was fantastic.”
If there was delight for Mumbai, the Chennai outfit had a few glum faces. Coach Stephen Fleming admitted that going forward, he would try and get the team composition a little better.
“This game was going to be tough to balance on our side. I think the last 5-6 overs came a little unstuck. It does not matter who are Indian and who is from overseas. It basically is a combination,”said the New-Zealander.
