Board President At 24: After Suryavanshi, Bihar Has Another Surprise For Indian Cricket

At 24, Harsh, who is the son of outgoing BICA President Rakesh Tiwary, is the youngest association president in Indian cricket

Bihar Cricket is a product that keeps on giving no matter what. Whether it is pitching two teams for the Ranji Trophy, giving as great a product as Vaibhav Suryavanshi to the world, or electing a 24-year-old as President of the Bihar Cricket Association (BICA).

Yes, this happened. 24-year-old Harsh Vardan is the new President of the BICA, and that too was unopposed. At 24, Harsh, who is the son of outgoing BICA President Rakesh Tiwary, is the youngest association president in Indian cricket.

In fact, all the members of the newly elected BICA office bearers team were elected unopposed. It includes Priya Kumari as Vice President, Ziaul Arefin as Secretary, Abhishek Nandan as Treasurer and Rohit Kumar as Joint Secretary.

Additionally, Rajesh Kumar was named a Member of the Committee of Management (District Representative), while Gyaneshwar Gautam joined as a Member of the Governing Council.

“We are humbled by the faith and support shown by all stakeholders of Bihar cricket. Our collective priority will be to strengthen the game at the grassroots, develop robust infrastructure, and create more opportunities for young and aspiring cricketers across the state. Together, we are committed to taking Bihar cricket to new heights,” BICA was quoted as saying, according to a Times Of India article.
