Rajasthan Royals duo Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal have bagged IPL 2022's top individual honours of Orange Cap and Purple Cap respectively.
Buttler was crucial for Rajasthan Royals' run into the final as he amassed 863 runs from 17 innings at an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05. The Englishman also scored four hundreds and four sixes as he led the run-scoring charts by a margin of 208 runs over LSG's KL Rahul.
Buttler's run tally is the second highest in a single IPL season behind Virat Kohli's 973 in 2016.
Chahal overtook Royal Challengers Bangalore's Wanindu Hasaranga as he claimed the wicket of Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya in the final on Sunday.
Chahal finished with 27 wickets at average of 19.5 and an economy of 7.8.
However, Buttler and Chahal's excellence was not enough to take RR to their second title as Gujarat Titans won the final by seven wickets and 11 balls to spare.
