IPL 2025: CSK's predicted playing XI and squad composition

MS Dhoni will once again be in action for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who will be eyeing their sixth title in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led unit lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their last group game of the IPL 2024 and failed to qualify for the playoffs. 

The Men in Yellow had a pretty good IPL 2025 auction, buying the likes of R Ashwin, Devon Conway, Khaleel Ahmed, Rahul Tripathi, Sam Curran, Rachin Ravindra, Nathan Ellis, and others. 

Apart from Dhoni and Gaikwad, Chennai also retained Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja before the mega auction.

The IPL 2025 will likely start on March 14 and end on May 2025. The schedule for the tournament hasn’t yet been announced.
