Chinnaswamy Ignored As BCCI Announce Venues For New Zealand White-Ball Series

New Zealand will play three ODIs and five T20Is in India in January 2026

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the venues for the eight white-ball games India are going to play against New Zealand in January 2026.

The three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will be played in Baroda, Rajkot and Indore on January 11, 14 and 18, respectively. The focus will then shift to the five-match T20I series.

Baroda last hosted a men's international game in 2010 - coincidentally. an ODI between India and New Zealand.

The five T20Is will take place in Nagpur, Raipur, Guwahati, Vizag and Trivandrum on January 21, 23, 25, 28 and 31, respectively. 

None of the major venues - Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Delhi - have been given a game.

It could also turn out to be India’s last series before the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February and March 2026.

- ODI Venues:

    - 1st ODI: Baroda, January 11

    - 2nd ODI: Rajkot, January 14

    - 3rd ODI: Indore, January 18

- T20I Venues:

    - 1st T20I: Nagpur, January 21

    - 2nd T20I: Raipur, January 23

    - 3rd T20I: Guwahati, January 25

    - 4th T20I: Visakhapatnam, January 28

    - 5th T20I: Trivandrum, January 31
