NEWSSt Kitts & Nevis Patriots (SKNP) have announced players they have retained ahead of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021. They have acquired the services of Dwayne Bravo, traded in from Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), that saw Denesh Ramdin go the other way. They have also signed Sherfane Rutherford from Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW).
SKNP have also retained star players like Evin Lewis, Sheldon Cottrell, Fabian Allen, Jon Russ Jaggesar and Rayad Emrit. In addition to this, exciting prospects like Joshua Da Silva, who made his Test debut last year against New Zealand and Dominic Drakes have also been retained by the franchise. The Patriots still have eight slots to fill, which they will complete in the coming weeks.
CPL 2021 is set to begin on August 18 and the final will be played on September 19. All 33 matches of the tournament will be played at Warner Park in St Kitts & Nevis.
Patriots' owner Mahesh Ramani said, “St Kitts and Nevis Franchise extends a warm welcome to the new players joining us this year as well as to our retained core team for yet another exciting season of the Hero CPL. This year makes it extra special with us playing at our home – Warner Park. I would like to thank all our team players, support staff and management as well as our global fan base for their continued love and support. I look forward to an amazing season in 2021.”
