Chasing a target of 188, Shaqkere Parris slammed 57 off 33 to give TKR a solid platform. Jason Roy, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran and Keacy Carty got out between scores of 14 to 17.
The Knight Riders needed 27 from the last two overs, but Pollard smoked Matthew Forde for four maximums in the 19th over before Akeal Hosein hit the first ball of the final over for a boundary to win the game for TKR. Pollard remained unbeaten on 52 off 19.
Earlier, Faf du Plessis, Johnson Charles and Bhanuka Rajapaksa played vital cameos, while Roston Chase (56* off 40) played the role of an anchor to lead Saint Lucia to 187/6 in their 20 overs. Narine picked up 2/13 in his four overs which ended up being a game-changing spell.
