Craig Ervine to lead Zimbabwe in both white-ball formats

Lalchand Rajput will continue as the head coach of the side and Lance Klusener has rejoined Zimbabwe's support staff as the batting coach

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) have announced Craig Ervine as Zimbabwe's full-time white-ball captain after the player was appointed the interim skipper during the side's limited-overs series in Ireland and Scotland last year and in Sri Lanka earlier this year. Meanwhile, Sean Williams will continue to be the Test skipper. Regis Chakabva will be the deputy to both Ervine and Williams in limited-overs and Test format respectively.

While Lalchand Rajput will continue as the head coach of the side, former South Africa all-rounder Lance Klusener has rejoined Zimbabwe's support staff as the batting coach. Klusener had been the batting coach of the side between 2016 to 2018 before taking over as Afghanistan's head coach. Klusener and the Afghanistan Cricket Board mutually agreed to part ways in November 2021. Most recently, Klusener was with Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) are also looking to hire a bowling coach and a fitness trainer for the men's side.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Mary-Anne Musonda and Josephine Nkomo will be the captain and vice-captain of the women's side respectively.
