CSK's Worst Home Season Sees Them Crash Out Of IPL 2025

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in the middle of their worst home season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They succumbed to their fifth defeat at Chepauk—the most in a season—and are out of contention for a place in the playoffs.

CSK put up a formidable 190 on the board against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Chepauk on April 30 (Wednesday). Sam Curran scored a valiant 88, but Yuzvendra Chahal's hat-trick and 72 off 41 by Shreyas Iyer completely deflated CSK. 

CSK, who have won the IPL on five occasions, have nothing but pride to play for the remainder of the season as they take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) next on May 3 (Saturday).
