David Warner made a resounding return in the International League T20 (ILT20) with an unbeaten 93 against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the 29th game of the 2025 edition of the tournament.
Warner, who is coming fresh off the Big Bash League (BBL) final, where he captained the Sydney Thunder in a remarkable campaign for the team in green, looked in full flow against the Knight Riders and smashed the bowlers all across the ground.
The swashbuckling left-hander scored 12 boundaries in his innings and a solitary six, helping the Capitals reach 217/4 at the end of their 20 overs.

Gulbadin Naib (47 off 25) also continued his stellar form in the season and along with Dasun Shanaka (34 off 12) and Shai Hope (36 off 24) took Dubai Capitals to their highest total of the season.
Meanwhile, Warner, who doesn’t play international cricket for Australia nowadays, would love to end the season for Dubai Capitals on a high note. They have had a lacklustre tournament so far, with only four wins in eight games. The Capitals are currently second last on the points table out of the six teams.
Warner would hope that his leadership will also help the Capitals reach that goal.
