Bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad will hope to find their spark after a miserable first half of the IPL 2021, when they take on a confident Delhi Capitals side at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. Both sides will fancy their playoffs chance as the defeats of Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore against has blown the top-four race wide open.
DC were top of the table before the second leg began in the UAE after winning six of their opening eight matches but are second after Chennai Super Kings pipped them to the first place by beating MI.
SRH, in the meanwhile, are rooted at the bottom of the table with just one win from seven matches so far. They will need two more wins in order to get a move on from eighth place.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Overall: Matches – 19 | SRH – 11 wins | DC – 8 wins

GROUND DETAILS
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium, has been a decent venue for both batsmen and the bowlers in IPL since 2020. On an average, teams have scored 171 runs in the first innings, which is a moderate number. This year, IPL is the first T20 tournament to be played at the venue. In the match between CSK and MI, the pitch offered good amount of bounce for the pacers while batting did not seem to be difficult.
Pacers have bowled the larger chunk of overs (61.2%) and have had the higher percentage of wickets (68.1%). In terms of balls/wickets as well, pacers with 19.3 balls/wicket are way ahead in comparison to 26.2 by spinners. The only aspect that spinners excel is the economy (7.4).
SUGGESTED CAPTAIN
Prithvi Shaw has been in a blazing form this year as he has been the lynchpin for DC alongside opening partner Shikhar Dhawan. He is currently fourth in the Orange Cap race with 308 rums which include three fifties and a strike rate of 166.48.
Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts, Shaw could score 30-46 runs in the match
X-FACTORS
Anrich Nortje's return in the second leg is a huge boost for DC as the South African pacer has been in excellent form in T20 cricket claiming 12 wickets from as many matches at a frugal economy of 6.5. He will be expected to deliver at the top of the innings and at the death alongside his compatriot Kagiso Rabada.
Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts Nortje could pick up 1-2 wickets in the match
Manish Pandey has been SRH's most consistent batsman behind Jonny Bairstow as he contributed 24.3% of the team's total runs in the five matches he played so far. His ability to bat anywhere and pace his innings is another reason why he will be the key for Sunrisers.
Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts, Pandey could score 31-47 runs in the match
Rashid Khan has been the best bowler for SRH by a mile and has continued to be a nuisance for batsmen with an economy of 6.1. The leg-spinner will be expected to play a starring role once again and will hope the other bowlers can contribute more.
Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts, Rashid could pick up 0-1 wickets in the match
