NEWSHe informed everyone that the foreign players and support staff should get the preference to travel first
Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has reportedly assured every member of his squad that he would only leave the camp once all of his colleagues have left for their home safely. According to a report in Indian Express, the former India captain has delayed his return from Delhi to his hometown Ranchi.
“Mahi bhai said that he will be the last person to leave the hotel. He wanted foreigners to leave first, then the Indian players. He will be taking the last flight tomorrow when everyone reaches their home safe and secure,” a member of CSK told the publication.
Dhoni conducted a virtual meeting with his teammates and informed everyone that the foreign players and support staff should get the preference to travel first, and then the Indian team players could depart for their home.
The franchise has organised a charter flight for their players from Delhi. A ten-seater flight dropped few players to Rajkot and Mumbai on Wednesday morning and then dropped some more players to Bangalore and Chennai in the evening. Dhoni himself will leave for his hometown on Thursday evening.
Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab also organised charter flights for their Indian players, while Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad helped their players to board commercial flights to their respective destinations.
