Digvesh Rathi Continues To Do Notebook Celebration Despite Getting Fined
The mystery spinner picked up the prized scalp of Naman Dhir to give LSG a new lease of life in the clash against MI
Just after getting 25% of his match fee fined, Lucknow Super Giants’ mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi continued his ‘notebook’ celebration against Mumbai Indians on April 4 (Friday). The mystery spinner was brought back into the attack against Naman Dhir in the ninth over of the run chase.
Rathi picked up a wicket off the very first ball, just after the time out, with a well-disguised wrong'un that spun into the right-hander, shocking Dhir. Until then, the right-handed batter from Punjab had already caused LSG a lot of damage with a 23-ball 46, smashing three sixes and four fours.
"Digvesh Singh, bowler, Lucknow Super Giants has been fined 25 percent of his match fees and has also accumulated one Demerit Point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Punjab Kings at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Tuesday,” IPL’s press release said.
Even before the commentators reminded everyone that Rathi had accumulated a 25% match fee, the mystery spinner had already signed off on Dhir and sent him off. It was similar to Harshit Rana, who, despite getting fined, continued to do his famous ‘flying kiss’ celebration.
