Don't like Tests but watch when Pant comes to bat: Mills
NEWSThe India wicketkeeper-batsman has been in excellent form across formats of late
India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has found a fan in England fast bowler Tymal Mills. Mills, who has played four T20 Internationals (T20I) for England says that he is not a big fan of Test cricket but watches when Pant comes out to bat. Pant of late has been in tremendous form in Tests. His recent knocks include a match-winning unbeaten 89 against Australia at The Gabba and also a vital century in the Chennai Test against England.
"I only play white-ball cricket, I don't play four-day cricket due to injuries. In general, I don't like watching traditional Test cricket but when Rishabh Pant comes to bat in a Test match, I am watching. It's exciting isn't it, its box office, it makes you want to watch the TV," Mills told Timesnow.com.
"He played a couple of eye-catching innings which was good to see. I like entertaining cricket. Even that first pitch in Ahmedabad when it was turning square, I liked it because there was something happening every ball. I personally really enjoyed the Test series," the England pacer added.
Pant also led Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. His team was on top of the table before the league was suspended.
