In what was unquestionably the most humiliating defeat in the franchise’s history, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by 'uncapped' MS Dhoni, sunk to an all-time low, registering one of the most embarrassing performances by any franchise in recent times.
Batting first, they posted 103/9 in 20 overs, crawling their way to the finish line while showing zero intent. And then, in the second innings, in what was an abject surrender, they let Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) chase down the target in 10.1 overs.
This is CSK’s heaviest defeat ever in the IPL in terms of balls remaining.
