NEWSThe England and Wales Cricket Board on Thursday said that it will conduct a thorough and fair investigation into allegations made by Yorkshire off-spinner Azeem Rafiq about systemic racism within the County club. ECB's response followed after Yorkshire, who issued an apology to Rafiq in August, said in a statement that no disciplinary action was required against its employees, players and executives.
The club said that it cannot disclose the findings of the investigation carried out by an independent committee due to legal reasons.
"The ECB has this afternoon received a copy of the report carried out on behalf of Yorkshire CCC into the allegations made by Azeem Rafiq, together with assurances from the club to cooperate fully with the ongoing regulatory process," ECB said in a official statement on Thursday.
"This is a matter with many serious allegations at its heart and the ECB's regulatory team will now consider the Report as part of its investigation. We anticipate that it will take time for the regulatory process to reach its conclusion, but it is imperative that this is completed thoroughly and with fairness to all involved."

Rafiq reacted to Yorkshire's statement on Twitter calling for the resignation of the club's Board members after picking the independent panel only based on their reputation.
"It is inconceivable that there are no current employees who should not have been disciplined for their conduct. Yorkshire's failures continue to mount up and it is time that board members - for once - do the decent thing and resign," the 31-year old said in his statement.
