India are in a very strong position at the end of Day 3 in the second Test match of the five-Test series with a lead of 244 runs and nine wickets in hand going into Day 4.
They would look to bat for the majority of the day tomorrow and then ask England to chase down a mammoth total in the fourth innings with only limited overs available to them for the chase.
However, there is a big chance that rain will interfere with the proceedings on Day 4, as there is an 84% chance of rain during the day in Birmingham tomorrow, July 5 (Saturday).
What are the chances of rain on Day four of the Birmingham Test?
The precipitation chances are around 60% in the morning, with 71% humidity. However, it will be completely overcast with 99% cloud cover being predicted with a couple of spells of rain. The conditions remain largely the same during the afternoon; however, the cloud cover will slightly reduce.
As the predictions currently stand, evening looks like the time when the chances of rain are the least, with only 55% chances of precipitation.
India might have a hard time batting tomorrow as it seems like it will be a start-stop kind of a day, with rain spells making the outfield damp in between. The overcast conditions will also aid English bowlers if they look to move the ball.
