Sam Curran, who was signed by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 2.4 Cr at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, failed miserably during the entire season.
Curran, who played five matches for the yellow brigade, could pick up only a solitary wicket and hit just one fifty with the bat, making him impact less in the tournament.
However, the English all-rounder is back to being the best in home conditions as he single-handedly won his side, the Oval Invincibles their game against the Southern Brave in The Hundred 2025 on August 18 (Monday).
Curran scored a brilliant unbeaten fifty off just 32 balls. It was laced with four fours and two sixes. This was after he had already picked up 3/21 from the 20 balls that he bowled in the first innings.
However, this was not the only game where the 27-year-old was brilliant. He has been one of the best all-rounders in the Hundred 2025, picking up 10 wickets and scoring 112 runs in his first five games in the competition.
