Grand League Punts
Kevin Sinclair, the off-spin bowling all-rounder, who has received his maiden Test call-up could make an impact rightaway. He has been in good form in first-class cricket, impressed in the three red-ball matches for West Indies A against Bangladesh A, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 13 scalps at 25.69. He also smashed 149 runs at 49.66, including a couple of fifties.
Will it be a wise call for India to hand in Test debut to Ruturaj Gaikwad? Granted that the batter has not done anything earth-shattering, having hit 592 runs in first-class cricket at 53.82, but given his confidence he carries after another excellent IPL, it would perhaps not be the worst of ideas. But the question remains, who will he replace in the XI?
