Grand League Punts
Rashid Khan has bounced back well after taking a pounding against Kolkata at the Eden Gardens couple of games ago. Since his spell of 0 for 54 against the two-time champions, Rashid has registered figures of 4 for 42 across the next two games. 10 of his 18 wickets in IPL 2023 have come in Ahmdeabad, strikign once every 12 deliveries at an economy rate of 8.2. In the form he is in, expect the Afghanistan spinner to add a few more in this game. With pacers and spinners having equal share of wickets, one cannot discount Rashid and other spinners to dominate proceedings.
Like Rashid, Mohammad Shami too has been in top form this season. In fact, his figures at home are even better than Rashid's. The pacer has 10 wickets in Ahmedabad in IPL 2023 at an average of 11.1, at a miserly economy rate of 5.6. Shami could once again be pivotal in GT's aspirations of getting a few quick wickets in the powerplay.
Naveen-ul-Haq has looked threatening every time he has bowled a ball in hand. He has picked up seven wickets in the last three games, cincluding bac-to-back three-wicket hauls. Naveen has expecially been deady at the death, having picked up five wickets at 9.8 at an economy of just seven. Only Avesh Khan (6) and Mark Wood (7) have picked up more wickets in this phase for LSG.
