The Indian juggernaut has continued to roll on. The Men in Blue, on Saturday, thrashed England by 49 runs at Edgbaston to seal the three-match series 2-0, and come Sunday would be hoping to extend their winning streak and hand the hosts an embarrassing whitewash. Under Rohit Sharma, India have already blanked New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies, and so the visitors, on Sunday, would be hoping to achieve a fourth whitewash under the newly-appointed skipper.
There was plenty of hype surrounding the England side prior to the series, but it’s been all too easy for India. England have barely put up a fight and have let the visitors steamroll them just like that. The post-Morgan era has got off to a rather rough start, and so Jos Buttler would be desperate for a win on Sunday to kick-start his captaincy career.
Ground Details
7 T20 matches have been played at Trent Bridge this year and it has proven to be an incredibly high-scoring venue. The average first-innings score has been a mammoth 192, with the venue overseeing totals of 247 and 261 across the last four matches. The last 5 first-innings totals at Trent Bridge read: 183, 247, 170, 261 and 178.
It’s also been a bat-first venue despite its high-scoring nature. Only two games have been won by the chasing side this year at Trent Bridge. With the first two T20Is also seeing the batting first side winning the contest comprehensively, we can expect the skipper winning the toss to bat first. Perhaps India might chase to give themselves a fresh challenge, having already sealed the series.
Nothing too revealing on the bowling front, with both pacers (E.R 9.4) and spinners (ER 8.7) getting belted.
Expect nothing other than a run-fest on Sunday.

Small League: Hardik Pandya ©, Chris Jordan (vc)
Stats that matter
* Bhuvneshwar Kumar has dismissed Jos Buttler twice in three balls in this series.
* Rohit Sharma has played explosive cameos, but the Indian skipper has not passed fifty in T20Is in his last 8 innings.
* Richard Gleeson entered the second T20I as the second-highest wicket-taker of the ongoing Vitality Blast season, and lived up to his reputation by picking a fine three-fer. He has now picked 9 wickets across his last 4 T20 matches.
* Ravindra Jadeja has been dismissed just once in the last two years in T20I cricket. Since 2020, he’s averaged 209 in T20Is and in the second T20I, he posted his highest ever T20I score.
Grand League punts
* In the form he is in, it is a no-brainer to take a gamble on Bhuvneshwar Kumar either being the captain or vice-captain of your fantasy side.
* Another seamer, Chris Jordan, has taken 9 wickets in his last 3 T20 matches and can be someone worth gambling on.
* Pick both Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in your fantasy side; at least one of these two players is guaranteed to fetch you a ridiculous amount of points.
